Why move house when you can extend your current property.

I visited another client who had been trying to move to a larger house. They had been unable to find another property with all their needs for the right price.
After visiting them and going through a feasibility study I was asked to undertake their extension plans and home remodel.
I completed the design to remodel and extend their typical semi detached house within 10 days.
Clients were extremely pleased with the amount of extra space and the contemporary look and feel to the proposal. Next stage planning submission as one of their requirements was for a 2 storey side extension which isn’t permitted development.
Their plans will give them 2 extra bedrooms, one of them with an ensuite shower toilet. An enlarged existing bathroom, a study, a utility room and a massive open plan kitchen/living/dining area. This room designed with full width bi-fold doors opening onto a level deck patio in the rear garden. Plus they get to keep their ‘old’ front room as a lounge area.
A lot of the building work is permitted development. (see previous blogs about what permitted development is).
Remember that by extending their existing property they are saving the fees related to a house move ( which would be in the region of £20.000 ) so they are already halfway to funding the building work. Plus their 3 young children will not need to move to new schools
