Orangery extension to sunny side of Large Detached House

Another discerning client who has decided on a new Orangery extension to the rear of their kitchen.

An Orangery is a bit like a conservatory but has a more solid ‘feel’ to it ie a solid roof and windows in solid walls, (rather than full glass walls).

This is the sunny side of the house and will give a great room to relax in at the end of the day.

It incorporates a series of virtually full height windows on the external wall sides with a large ‘Lanternlight’ rooflight  over 75 percent of the roof area.

This extension requires a planning permission because it is being built on the rear of an existing 2 storey extension to the property. (see my extensive pages and articles  on what is allowed under permitted development ‘PD’)

It is expected to get it planning permission within the usual 2 months of submission.
